About

Laurie Fanelli is a Chicago-based writer and photographer who specializes in live performance, music and event coverage.

Laurie’s musical, artistic and event planning background, coupled with her enduring love of people and community, made for a natural progression into writing and photography. With 10+ years experience documenting magical moments — through both her images and written words — she has built an extensive body of work made up of innumerable artists (from up-and-coming bar bands to world-class stadium acts), events, and portraits.

Laurie’s work has been featured in print and online on AXS, VICE’s Noisey, AV Club, Tom’s of Maine, Consequence of Sound, Esquire, Paste, Rebellious Magazine, Vulture, 22nd Century Media, MetalSucks, Chicago Reader and Eponymous Review, which she founded in 2016.
